A grand pair of antique Victorian drop earrings from the late 19th Century set with two seed pearls and two mesmerising cabochon moonstones with a silvery tone and bright, inner glow.
The mystifying moonstone derives its name from the stone’s ethereal, luminescent light that was once believed to be moonlight in solid form. In Greek mythology they were associated with Selene, the feminine moon Goddess and said to be a path to love, wisdom and new beginnings.
The pair display exquisite open workmanship with scrolling, foliate motifs expertly crafted in 18ct gold. They’re a beautiful example of Victorian opulence and look gorgeous dangling from each ear.
